The Academy of African Management & Economic Research (AMERJ) is an interdisciplinary African academic journal which publishes rigorous peer reviewed research on management theory and practice all grounded in the context of Africa. It is uniquely distinct by being the first journal with a dedicated corner that explores manager-leadership life stories of African managers and leaders. Further, it has a very strong emphasis on sound research with clear impact on theory, industry and policy.

Aims & Scope
AMERJ accepts high quality articles that cover broad topics in management and grounded in the context of Africa.
Topics include but not limited to. Organizational theory, Strategy. Marketing. HRM, Finance, Operations/Production, Accounting, Purchasing, Logistics, Supply, Corporate Governance, Leadership, Risk, Change Management, Industrial Relations, Ecommerce, EBusiness, Tourism, Communication, Retail, Public Relations, Agriculture, Sustainable Development, and Digitization amongst others.
AMERJ also has a special corner for PhD thesis-based articles to promote early career researchers in Africa
Regarding methodology, AMERJ accepts papers based on qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods research designs.
As for impact, AMERJ has a very strong focus on publishing articles which have a clear impact on academia, industry and policy.

Abstract & Indexing
Being a new academic journal, AMERJ shall gradually increase its indexing. It shall start with indexing databases which are much easier to register with, for example, Google Scholar. Abstracting and indexing databases differ in terms of their requirements and the AMERJ shall accordingly comply with the terms and conditions of each indexing database.
