Who We Are
The Academy of African SME Journal (ASMEJ) is an African academic journal which publishes cutting edge and rigorously peer reviewed research on entrepreneurship theory and practice, SMEs and family businesses; all grounded in the context of Africa. It is uniquely distinct by being the first journal with a dedicated corner for business life stories of African entrepreneurs/business founders/business owner managers. Through such stories, African entrepreneurs, African business founders and African business owner managers reflect on their lived experiences with regards to what it is like to start, manage and grow their businesses as Africans in Africa and beyond. Further, ASMEJ has a very strong emphasis on sound research with clear impact on theory, industry and policy.
